Jim rosenberg

When Jim was growing up, music was an everyday experience at home.  Jim's mother loved to dance and sing along with the greats of the Swing-era including Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman and her favorite, Ella Fitzgerald. At an early age, Jim's mother enrolled him in piano and then later ukulele lessons.  Jim's older brother formed a rock band in high school exposing Jim to greats such as The Stones, The Beatles, Jethro Tull and Procol Harum. But it was the music of singer/songwriters such as James Taylor, Jackson Browne, John Prine and Neil Young that drove Jim to pick up an acoustic guitar and make it his passion for the rest of his life.  "I love all kinds of music but for me, regardless of the genre, it all gets down to one thing... a great song. That's the thing I love about Neil.  It's all about the song."  When he's not performing in NSY, Jim works on writing songs and occasionally performs as a singer/songwriter doing both covers and originals.

Keith “the honest” wieland

Keith Wieland started playing drums at the age of 12 with competitive jazz big bands through college, where he went on to Minor in Jazz at UCSC. In addition, Keith has played consistently in multiple bands covering a variety of genres for over 20 years, making a lot of friends and having a lot of fun.

Keith has spent time touring the country with various acts, as well as being hired for studio session work and live performances. Although he’s rarely seen in the wild these days, you’ll easily recognize Keith by his solid, powerful groove, subtle creativity, and excellent ear. He is a founding member of The Dylan Rose Band where he continues to pursue his connection to the universe through music.

Dave handloff

Bassist Dave Handloff grew up on the sounds of The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, Poco, The Eagles, Neil Young and many others in the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 1960's. He has played electric guitar and bass for several acts as well as being a professional sound engineer on large scale tours for nearly 20 years. The experience of working thousands of shows helping other musicians express their artistry created an enormous desire in Dave to come out of his shell and express his inner Neil! He has known Jim, Dylan, and Keith for over 30 years. "Without a doubt, my favorite moments are when I'm playing with these guys. I am optimistic that our best shows are ahead of us and that's what keeps me going."

DYLAN ROSE

Initially inspired by the music played by his parents at home, Dylan picked up the guitar at an early age and eventually developed a keen interest for many different styles of playing. After studying privately throughout high school, he furthered his knowledge and proficiency at Musician's Institute in Hollywood while continuing to pursue his own musical project. Today, he primarily enjoys recording and touring with his own established band as well as teaching lessons and gigging with various local acts during months spent off the road.

From ages 12 to 15 she performed in numerous MTA (Music Teachers Association) competitions and took first place 3 years in a row. Her guitar teaching career began at 14 years old and by age 16 she became one of the youngest certified Suzuki instructors in the region.
Later, Alisha began to pursue singing and songwriting working with a variety of bands and music projects in the bay area. Her musical taste and creative involvement has spanned a range of genres, from hard rock/grunge to folk, indie, and funk. She is a founding member of The Dylan Rose Band as well as the popular acoustic duo Ripatti and Rose. Occasionally, she is known to perform solo classical guitar for various clandestine events.

JOCELYN OLSON

Surrounded by music her whole life and heavily influenced by her musician parents, Jocelyn has been rhythmically connected to music through dance from an early age. She met and began performing with Not So Young in 2020. Singing backup vocals and playing percussion for the band inspired Jocelyn to rediscover her love for piano and keyboards.

As a founding member of The Dylan Rose Band, Jocelyn contributes vocal harmonies, keyboards, and percussion to the powerful lineup. She is respected for her constructive arrangements and tasteful ear.
